For a long time, skincare was a compromise for us: either our skin felt good for a short time, or it would soon react with dryness, tightness, and irritation. As a former cabin manager for a major German airline, I know these moments all too well – after long flights in extremely dry air, when your skin just wants to rest. That's exactly what The Source Lab was born from: the desire for a clear routine that you'd happily use every day because it doesn't overwhelm, but provides reliable support.

At its core is a deliberately reduced mineral base, inspired by very old deep water from the Nienburg region. The focus is on four essential minerals: sodium, calcium, magnesium, and strontium. They form the basis of our formulations and represent what defines our skincare: less bulk, more balance.

This mineral base is complemented by selected nourishing ingredients such as glycerin, shea butter, squalane, and ceramides. The aim is to leave the skin feeling nourished, balanced, and resilient, rather than overloaded.

Our skincare doesn't aim to impress with loud promises, but with a clear idea: a strong, minimalist base that reliably supports the skin in everyday life.

We develop products for people whose skin is prone to dryness, tightness, and redness, and who are looking for a minimalist, fragrance-free routine. That's why we consistently avoid unnecessary additives. We also refrain from using cortisone – because we wanted skincare that people could trust long-term, not just in exceptional circumstances.
